It's all about money

Went shopping with Geraldine dear and as expected it was a shop-and-save experience. Started out good with expenditure of less than 10 bucks on yummilicious food like fantastic yong tau foo, very fresh fish sliced soup, figer-licking good shrimp paste chicken wing and not forgetting the superb home-made iced lemon tea( She gulped down 2 big glasses at one go)at Golden mile food complex. Grins.

All was well until We arrived at Watsons suntec where Ger settled for some necessities. Our gobs got so smacked when the amount to pay was shown, all thanks to the recent increase of GST from 5-7%. Gosh, the impact was much more conspicous than i thought. Tsk. Totally loathed it.

Coping with many demands on a forever-in-deficit budget such as from, endless bills and exorbitant fees, are mind numbing and scary. Now, it is even more daunting with the hike that causes real wages and money supply to fall(am a diligent econs student ok), affecting poor workers who slog their guts out for meagre pay like ME!. Besides, it's not like I'm some label fanatic(not using 'whore' lest i'll sound trite since everyone even xiao ah-lians is using this term). Looks like this year is shaping up as a strenous year with more blueprints to find means that will bring in the extra dough required. sighs.

Money money money, it's a rich men's world.
