The Incredibles so incredulous

Our dodge ball competition came yesterday.

Initially, I had little confidence in myself after seeing 500 play like they were real spartans. The sound impact of the slamming of balls was intimidating and really jolted me to senses a bit. And the thought of the brunt our body would be taking caused me to gape as I started to feel the tension since we had to fight them in the imminent game.

However, we, The Incredibles (comprised of Firdaouz, Radin, Ben, the Indian guy whose name I’ve forgotten, Angie and me) managed to beat 500. It was incredulous alright! Guess it was the sudden surge of adrenalin from the first winning that transformed us into pro dodge ball players. Angie and I even did splits to evade the balls. Funny, but nothing was funnier than Radin’s fall which earned him a cut on his knee. And Angie was kind enough to laugh non-stop at his pickle, even on our way home.

Not just that, we managed to annihilate most of the opponents and emerged as the champion getting us into the semis.

We won’t be carried away by triumph. We shall remain modest.
