Baby Oh Baby!

I got so elated when Yani called me in the evening of 260707 to inform me of the arrival of her daughter-my godgirl-to this world, that I started calling everyone who knows Yani. She sounded exuberant though I imagined Yani with pallid countenance and languid from the 'pushing'. Much as i wanted to pay the baby and the mom a visit, it was said to bring bad luck-for superstitious chinese-and hence I ended up unable to see my dearest girl till she's 1 mth old. Hmm.
