Our very own TOP10 movies chart

As agreed, Ger dear and I decided to inaugurate our very own top 10 movies, just like STOMP. Allow us to be copycats. We’re super star bloggers. Hee, joke only. Anyway, not in sequence, can't decide which is the best.

1.Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.

I love this most amongst all the series. Quidditch world cup is real awesome. The best part of the show that is trepidation-filled is the Triwizard tournament. One champion is to be selected from each of the three most prestigious wizarding schools to compete in a series of life-threatening tasks in pursuit of winning the Triwizard Cup. When the final 2 edge closer to the Triwizard cup, Harry witnesses the murder of Cedric. It’s a shame but that makes the show even more worth watching. Enchanting stuff.

2.Casanova

This show starring Heath ledger and Sienna Miller, is about a man who all along has women falling head over heels for him falling in love with a feminist who doesn’t want anything to do with the man she thinks he is. He then created a series of misadventures, disguises and mistaken identities just to win her heart. Very scandalous, I like.

3.Sympathy for Lady vengeance

I saw it on Dawn’s choice and I’m so proud of it. It’s really stylistic showing vengeance can be real sweet and murder can be humanistic. Starring Lee Young-Ae and Choi Min Mik , It’s about a high school student (Lee) going to jail to take the rap for the teacher (Choi) she loves. Upon her release 13 years later, she discovers she has been betrayed and prepares to take revenge. I give credit to the stylized plot.

4.Pretty woman

I know I can stop dreaming bout meeting a guy like gere in the show, but which girl would mind an older wealthy, and real charming man. This is like a fairy tale kinda show with the happy-ever-after ending. With great cast and a solid screenplay, it’s become somehow like a classic. And my favourite song Fallen is the soundtrack of this show. Prettywoman simply glows with romance! Hee.

5.Memoirs of a Geisha

Hatsumomo

The movie centres on a Japanese child, Sayuri, being sent to a geisha house and trained to be a geisha. Sayuri then blossoms into the legendary geisha. With alluring beauty and wit, Sayuri beats the most popular Hatsumomo attracting the most powerful men. However, she is haunted by her secret desire for the man (the chairman) beyond her reach. It’s an eye-feast since I so like Michelle Yeoh, Gong Li and Zhang ZiYi. Sooo Pretty! Oh, Ken Watanabe is one eye candy too!

Starring: Maggie Cheung, Ziyi Zhang, Gong Li, Faye Wong, Takuya Kimura, Tony Leung
The movie is about a writer (Leung) who thought he wrote about the future which actually was the past. In his novel, a mysterious train left for 2046 every once in a while. Many go to 2046 to recapture their lost memories and nothing changes in 2046. It was unknown if it’s true since no one leaves. The writer went there and chose to leave as he wanted to change. Actually, I didn’t get the movie the first time I watched. Dissatisfied, I caught it again. Even for those who don’t understand, it’s still worth watching as it is a beautiful, aesthetic flow of pictures that’s impossible not to like.

7.Pan’s labyrinth



Ofelia

This is a fairy tale, set in Fascist Spain, about a young girl Ofelia who creates a world filled with weird fantastical creatures and secret destinies. She then trusts a fawn that lives in the old ruined labyrinth behind her house and gets killed by her stepdad in the end. The fantasy is real fantastic that I can’t stop thinking bout it even days after.

10.L’Enfant


The couple who struggles to stay alive or keep the child.

It’s real taxing typing out the summaries, so not gonna do for the rest. I’m getting increasingly frustrated as I move down the chart.
